Senior Planner/Planning Director

About the role

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Strategist who is innately curious about people, what moves them and inspires them. You have a finger on the pulse of the trends that are shaping and will shape the consumers’ world and will be comfortable leveraging data. You should have experience with qualitative and quantitative research, analysis and insight and be “channel agnostic”. You are excited by the possibilities of blending culture, technology, and creativity to deliver cutting edge work.

 

You will be able to synthesize and present complex information in a simple way, write creative briefs and be comfortable managing senior client stakeholders. A willingness to express a point of view to help clients grow their businesses and strong attention to detail would be valuable. And of course, you’ll be comfortable with measurement and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop communication strategies and creative briefs based on insights from consumer research, brand understanding and marketplace data.

Look beyond the commonly accepted approach and seek opportunities for modifying and adapting exiting practices. Where possible pursue new ideas or innovative approaches.

Have a strategic voice and manage the strategic efficacy of the work in reviews.

Demonstrate versatility and flexibility and can shift directions as new information or feedback becomes available that suggests a new approach is needed.

Stimulate and support creative efforts by others by creating opportunities for joint problem solving.

Develop sound and creatively inspiring briefs and propositions to drive the quality of creative work in the group.

Works closely with creative teams to assist in the creative development process.

Foster relationships with internal stakeholders across departments (Creative, Strategy, Production, Account, etc.)

Champion new business pitches, either directly or indirectly via team.

 

What will you bring?

5+ years of experience across brand strategy in a creative agency environment, leading pitches and projects of work.

Strong track record of delivering creative campaigns.

Relevant bachelor’s degree in a related field is desirable.

Strong understanding of brand and communication channels.

Extensive experience working with business problems that impact brand and communication strategy.
